**Done Deal: Swansea City Complete the Signing of Walsall FC Star Josh Gordon on a Five-Year Contract**

Swansea City have officially completed the signing of Walsall FC star forward Josh Gordon in a major move that signals their intent to bolster their attacking options for the coming seasons. The 29-year-old striker has put pen to paper on a five-year contract that will keep him at the Liberty Stadium until the summer of 2030.

The Championship side confirmed the news on Monday morning, with Gordon joining for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of £750,000, subject to performance-related add-ons. The move marks a significant step up for the striker, who has been a standout performer in League Two with Walsall over the past two seasons.

Gordon, who scored 14 goals in all competitions last season, was the Saddlers’ top scorer and a key figure in their attacking setup. Known for his relentless work rate, intelligent movement, and eye for goal, the former Leicester City academy product has attracted interest from several Championship clubs, but Swansea moved swiftly to secure his signature.

In a statement released by Swansea City, head coach Luke Williams said:

“Josh is a player we’ve tracked for some time. He brings the kind of hunger, energy, and finishing ability we want in our front line. He’s proven himself consistently, and we believe he’s ready to

take this step and thrive at Championship level.”

Gordon expressed his excitement about the move, telling club media:

“I’m absolutely buzzing to join Swansea City. It’s a massive club with a great fanbase and ambition that matches my

own. I’m grateful to Walsall for everything, but this is the

right time for me to take on a new challenge. I can’t

wait to get started and show what I can do in the Championship.”

Walsall FC also released a heartfelt farewell message to Gordon, thanking

him for his service and professionalism during his time at the club.

“Josh has been a fantastic servant to Walsall FC, both on and off the pitch.

While we are sad to see him go, we’re incredibly proud of his development and

wish him all the success at Swansea,” the statement read.

Gordon is expected to join up with his new teammates immediately and could

make his debut in the coming weeks as Swansea gear up for a crucial stretch in their Championship campaign.

The signing of Josh Gordon adds depth and versatility to the Swans’ attack, and

supporters will be hopeful that his transition to a higher level of

competition will bring added firepower to their push for a strong league finish.
