BREAKING: “Steph Curry Shocks the World with Blockbuster Move to New Club”

The star player for the Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry, has no intention of leaving or joining another team. In a recent interview with Emily Chang, presenter of The Circuit, Curry made that very apparent. The 36-year-old shooter stressed that he wants to stay in Golden State amid rumours about his future because of the Warriors’ present situation.

Chang questioned Curry when he unexpectedly changed his Instagram bio to read “Olympic Gold Medallist” instead of mentioning the Warriors. The star player for the Warriors claimed he was just happy to be an Olympian and win gold at the 2024 Summer Olympics, but many couldn’t help but fear he would want to be let off the team. Curry made it clear that he is devoted to the Dubs. Furthermore, in response to Chang’s question on if he’s “here forever,” he said, “that’s the plan.”
Steph Curry demonstrated his dedication by accepting a $62.6 million one-year contract extension with the Warriors. This implies that Curry’s contract with the team will last until the 2026–2027 campaign.

For those wondering why it’s only a one-year contract instead of anything longer, it should be mentioned that the NBA’s over-38 rule limits the length of his extension to what he can get. A club is only allowed to offer an over-38 player a one-year contract under this rule. Even though Curry is only 36 years old, when his extension begins, he will have beyond the age of 38.
