In Week 5, former President Donald Trump made his attendance at the top-four game between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson Tide known.

Trump is anticipated to attend the game, therefore more security is required. Alabama said on Thursday that a few new policies would be implemented at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Security changes for Georgia at Alabama

Removal of pin-on buttons

Removal of jewelry

Removal of all items in pockets

Screening similar to TSA checkpoints

Belts and shoes may remain on

Fans who fly into Tuscaloosa for the game will basically have a practice run at getting into Bryant-Denny for the game.

Alabama’s football program advises supporters to arrive at the stadium two hours before kickoff, acquaint themselves with the stadium’s layout, download their tickets in advance, and be ready to walk through a more stringent security line.

The notice stated that in the event that any fans trigger the first metal detector they encounter, the security personnel would use a wand to conduct a more thorough screening of the guests. The designated security checkpoint, which is allotted to fans based on where their seats are placed, must be passed by ticket holders.

Trump, who attended New York Military Academy, is one of six former presidents to have played collegiate football.

Former President Trump will be attending his third Alabama game; he attended Crimson Tide games in 2018 and 2019. Trump attended the National Championship game between the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide at the end of the 2017 season, which marks his second Georgia game.

On ABC/ESPN+, Alabama and Georgia are slated to begin play at 7:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. CT.
