Terrible report: The Indiana Hoosier football team have just shed tears and confirmed the collapse of their two key players in a fatal accident

**Tragic Loss: Indiana State University Football Team Mourns Two Players Killed in Fatal Accident**

In a heartbreaking incident, the Indiana State University (ISU) community is mourning the loss of two freshman football players, Christian Eubanks, 18, of Waukegan, Illinois, and Caleb VanHooser, 19, of Liberty Township, Ohio, who were among three students killed in a tragic car accident on August 21, 2022.

The single-vehicle crash occurred near Terre Haute, Indiana, when the car carrying five ISU students veered off the road, struck a tree, and became engulfed in flames. The third fatality was identified as Jayden Musili, 19, of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Two other students, Omarian Dixon, 20, of Lafayette, Indiana, and John Moore, 19, of Wheaton, Illinois, survived the crash but sustained serious injuries.

Investigations revealed that the vehicle was traveling at speeds up to 90 miles per hour before the crash, and a survivor indicated that they had just left a party where alcohol was present. Additionally, the roads were wet due to recent storms, contributing to the hazardous conditions.

Eubanks and VanHooser had recently joined the Sycamores football program and were anticipated to make significant contributions to the team. Their untimely deaths have left the university and the broader community in deep sorrow. ISU President Deborah Curtis expressed condolences, stating, “Our Indiana State University community is mourning the loss of life and directing our heartfelt care to the families of those recovering from this tragedy.”

Head football coach Curt Mallory also conveyed his grief, noting that the team

would come together to support one another during this difficult time. He

emphasized the importance of unity within the Sycamore family as they

navigate the profound loss of their teammates.

The university has made counseling services available to students, faculty, and staff affected by the tragedy.

Memorial services are being planned to honor the lives and legacies of Eubanks

and VanHooser, whose promising futures were tragically cut short.

As the investigation into the accident continues, the ISU community remains united in grief, offering support to the

families of the victims and the survivors as they begin the long process of healing.
